U.S. Collegiate Record Holder

Wade joined the active SMWC coaching staff in the spring of 1996. During the collegiate season, he is the Assistant Coach at Howard University. He also was an assistant coach at Northern Michigan University in 1987.

Graduating locally from George Washington University in 1985 after a stellar four-year wrestling career, he earned All-American status finishing third in the NCAA's. He earned a spot on the 1987 East-West All-star Team. Also in 1987 he earned a birth on the Freestyle National Team as well as All-American status in freestyle competition.

Wade is the current college record holder for the most wins in a career and most wins in a single season. He went 57-4 during his senior year at George Washington.

Wade is active at most SMWC practices working with aspiring wrestlers, presenting clinics, and offering advice when asked. He is a tremendous asset to the SMWC program and a great role-model for young athletes.
