Anthony "Buddy" Lee

Our most visible member and ambassador of goodwill, Anthony "Buddy" Lee is a Virginia native who became a SMWC coach in 1995, and recieved the SMWC Patron Award in 1997. He graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in secondary education and went on to serve 11 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, winning 15 Armed Forces National Wrestling Titles.

He was also the Assistant Coach for the Marine Corps National Wrestling Team (1993) and the Head Wrestling Coach for T.C. Williams H.S. (1993-1994).

Buddy served as a member of the USA Wrestling Board of Directors (1992 - 1996). He is well known for his use of rope jumping as a key part of his wrestling training to develop into a world class and Olympic athlete.
